AALAS Webinar - Agricultural Animals: Enrichment Strategies

Environmental enrichment is a must for animals involved in research, but the provision of enrichment varies widely as does the definition of what constitutes environmental enrichment. This webinar focuses on meeting species specific needs of agricultural animals and further enriching their environment. Agriculture animals in research range from poultry to horses to pigs to ruminants. We cannot take a one-size-fits-all approach with them. We can, however, creatively use readily available resources to encourage normal species behaviors, decrease the occurrence of stereotypies, facilitate animal training, increase cooperation of animals in study procedures, and promote workplace safety. The fee is per connection: One connection can be used for site or group training. If multiple connections are needed, please place and order per connection. Discounts are available by using the Store Order Form PDF when you purchase 5 or more connections. The 1.5 hour time frame will allow for plenty of time to submit your questions, thus giving you a more personalized training experience. Time and date not convenient for you: Share the presentation recording afterward with our staff. AALAS will provide the link to view the webinar recording to all registrants several days after the webinar concludes. Within 1 to 3 business days after ordering the webinar, you will be sent an email with a link to register and view the webinar on the GoToWebinar website.
