Workshop on Advanced Surgical Techniques in the Lab Mouse

This four-day intensive hands-on workshop is for those wishing to obtain advanced training in surgical techniques for the laboratory mouse. In addition to biomethods and rodent survival surgery guidelines, a wide range of surgical procedures are taught including xenografts (intra-femoral, intra-splenic, kidney, lung, mammary, prostate and subcutaneous xenograft via trocar), mammary fat pad clearing, carotid artery catheterization, vascular access button jugular vein catheterization, 5/6 nephrectomy, unilateral ureteral ligation, intubation and ventilation.
